Kinnear Centre Room 101

federated idWith IT budgets at Alberta’s post-secondary institutions continuing to be cut back, there is growing demand for shared services. But how can shared service tools like federated identity and access management be handled across organizational boundaries? Where should organizations get started?

Cybera and CANARIE will present an Alberta solution at the 2014 Cyber Summit in Banff. The goal is to help post-secondary institutions overcome the technical, policy, privacy and security obstacles of deploying a federated ID for shared services. An open discussion will also be held on how to tie in municipalities, K-12 school districts and the provincial government to this service. We are looking for feedback from you to help us develop the Alberta solution!
