The US National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cybersecurity Framework was released in 2014, and has become the go-to framework for global instutitions looking to align and upgrade their cybersecurity initiatives. The NIST framework provides a common language that allows staff at all levels to develop a shared understanding of their cybersecurity risks.
The AB SecureIT team is currently working on shared NIST assessment resources to guide investments and provide a single provincial view into the state of cybersecurity.
