Earlier this week, Cybera's Joe Topjian, Barton Satchwill and Curtis Collicutt delivered a 'cloud building' workshop to IT staff at the City of Calgary. By the end of this hands-on session, members of the class had built and were testing out their own cloud environments.
This is one of a series of cloud workshops our staff members have recently given to government and university audiences, and represents Cybera's growing expertise in cloud computing topics like infrastructure- and classroom-as-a-service, as well as the OpenStack or Amazon software that enables these virtual operations.
It is also evidence of a growing interest in cloud development in Canada (which has, until recently, adopted a slower, more cautious approach to this technology than its American neighbours).
