2015 Funding Roadshow Overview
At the 2015 Funding Roadshow, entrepreneurs working on an innovative solution will get the chance to pitch their business to a panel of angels, VCs, banks and government organizations. Entrepreneur teams will individually pitch in a closed setting to:
ï¼ Receive candid feedback on their pitch
ï¼ Have experts validate their business model
ï¼ Meet funders and in certain cases get funded
ï¼ Win a trip to pitch to VCs in California and 6 months office space
Fundica, Canada’s most successful traditional funding identification and connection platform, matches entrepreneurs, private investors, public funders and advisors. Through unique crowdsourcing/crawler technology, Fundica provides an up-to-date, comprehensive and intuitive platform.
Each city stop of the 2015 Funding Roadshow includes:
o Up to 20 technology-based pitches
o Judging panel comprised of up to 8 funders ( VCs, angels, banks, gov't organizations, lenders)
o Keynote speech by Intuit during lunch time ( in some cities)
o Educational workshops, open to everyone, provided by national partners ( Intuit, SoftLayer, CANARIE, Startup Canada, R&D Capital, Expansion Quebec, Blakes,
and R&D Partners) and hosting partners
o Demo tables available for national partners
o Evening networking session following the Best Pitch Award
o Great networking opportunities with community partners, funders, and entrepreneurs
