Alberta's advanced research and information network is the backbone of Cybera.

Alberta's ultra high-speed network

Alberta’s ultra high-speed network, CyberaNet, is known for its big pipes. CyberaNet connects Alberta researchers and education institutions to each other and the world. It also provides more efficient internet options for institutions in the public and non-profit sectors.

Canada's Network Alliance

Twelve provincial and territorial network partners, together with CANARIE, collectively form Canada’s National Research and Education Network. This powerful digital infrastructure connects Canadians to national and global data, tools, colleagues and classrooms that fuel the engine of innovation in today’s digital economy. Cybera is part of this national research and education network.

Get connected!

All of Alberta’s research universities, and many more post-secondary institutions and school boards, are already using CyberaNet. Find out whether your institution is connected by looking at the list of Cybera members, and learn more about signing up.
